Bernard J Solomon, EXECUTIVE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Bernard has been involved with theater his entire life. While growing up he made himself at home performing and working backstage at Cranford High School, The Cranford Dramatic Club and Cranford Repertory Theater. By the time he reached his junior year of high school he had started performing professionally at the esteemed Paper Mill Playhouse. As a professional actor, Bernard has performed all over the country in productions of Big River, Miss Saigon, Cats, Dreamgirls, Show Boat, Annie and The Scarlet Pimpernel. He was approached by the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, NJ to Direct and Choreograph the New Jersey premier of Cats at their venue, recreating all of the original Broadway choreography and direction. As a Director and Choreographer Bernard has worked at theater’s locally in New Jersey, in New York City and across the country, including The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Bernard’s directing credits include: The Phantom of the Opera, Titanic, Metamorphoses, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan and West Side Story. While working on the directing team he has had the pleasure of working with notable performers such as Oscar Winner Shirley Jones, Tony Winner Randy Graf, Laura Osnes, James Snyder, Jackie Burns, Jenn Collela, Brooks Ashmanskas and Bobby Steggart.
